Personal Goals At Public Expense?

Personal achievements are not gained at the expense of communal or societal achievements. Otherwise what’s the point?

Narrated Abu Musa, The Prophet ﷺ said, “Free the captives, feed the hungry and pay a visit to the sick.”

In this way the Prophet ﷺ made incentivized his community to think beyond themselves and to empathize with others and help them.

A’ishah reported Allah’s Messenger ﷺ as saying, “A family which has dates will not be hungry.”

By not having hunger, one can feel that one is provided for. Be happy with the simple things in life and never take them for granted.

K’ab bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Two hungry wolves sent in the midst of a flock of sheep are no more destructive to them than a man’s greed for wealth and fame is to his Deen (relationship with God).”

Lessons from Surah al-Duha:

“So as for orphans, do not oppress them, and as for beggars, do not berate them. And as for the blessing of your Lord, speak out!” Qur’an, 93: 9-11

Proclaim your Islam (v11) by speaking out and helping others.
